…they write zany stories filled with debauchery that, in most cases, break the rules and defy physics. Why? Because on an average work day, a writer must adhere to the rules of the world they created and write within a character’s guidelines. Every now and then a writer just says, “You know what? Damn the rules! Today, I’m a rebel!”
So here is what I have for you!
Welcome aboard the HMS Slush Brain! Where I, Captain “Princess” Boozic, lead the wildest group of writers whose only desire in life is to recruit Daryl Dixon and save the world from Irish zombie fleas armed with wine and a Guinness!

Written while answering phones in a call center, Angela and Nicholas write this fantasy gone weird. Featuring a writer whose down on his luck, Haskins finds himself stranded and cursed by a group of walking, talking frogs called Gorfs. While dressed in sky blue formal wear, they tell Haskins that he is the hero destined to save them in The Gorf Prophesy Revealed in which the hero obtains the enchanted armor of Luvunn and the Blade of Euros

Enter The Holodeck where a handful of writers join forces on the Holodeck over a game of cyber paint ball armed with their imaginations, sense of humor, and magic mustard. They team up against each other against all odds to take down their Moderator. From a dingy garage, to Brooklyn in the 1940’s, and on to the ruins of Machu Piccu this group of writers lets the story fly.
There are two sides to a every serious artist. The “let’s get down to business” where we enter “The Zone.” There in the zone, we find our rhythm and the words flow from us with ease. Some of our best work is procured in “The Zone.”
But there are days when you are obligated to go to work like any other and your boss (you, the writer) refuses to ever give you a day off. But you must write! Writers must write!
“But if I have to look at that epic fantasy one more time…”
And there the second side is born. The “I need to write something to feel better about doing nothing today” and no one knows how to play at make believe and pretend better than a writer.
So I’m posting them! All of them!
That’s right! When Writer’s Are Bored is a project I am putting together to show you what happens when a group of writers come together to escape the mundane work week. We have the passion, the enthusiasm, and the dreams of a five year old playing dress-up, but with all the censorship and imagination of…well…a bunch of drunk 30 year olds who are sick of working for “The Man.”
