For You (The Letters Part #2)
Forced to live alone without you, I find myself going back, taunting Death. After all you did for me, the least I could do is walk away and let you be. But I can’t. Flirting with fate, I return, but too late you are there to greet me.
“I remember,” you say again. “I remember everything.”
“So what now?” I ask. “We’re to go back to what we were? Me hanging back, watching you from another life? Pretending none of this ever happened? That I don’t love you? That we didn’t—”
But you don’t let me finish. Your mouth is on mine so fast, so hard, I suddenly don’t care about any of it. You silence me with your kisses and I rise up and respond.
I don’t know how long we stood in the street, kissing under the lamplight. I don’t know when or how we came to be in the manor in the wood where you lived. I do remember thinking, just as I fell asleep with you beside me, how many questions I had with too few answers. I do remember having no care or concern for the Death Witch who we had just betrayed or the price we would soon pay.

For You: The Letters #2 – Angela B. Chrysler – 5*****Stars
This is a story of a love so pure and deep that it brings tears to your eyes. Letters are the only thing that keeps their love alive. A deal with a death witch was made in order to save the life of the woman he loves and a letter was all that was left for her. Her belief is that his memory was wiped of everything pertaining to them but was that true? If he remembers her it will mean her life and once again he will have to watch her die. Every night she goes to the club where he plays and watches until the day he approaches her and reveals the truth. Her life is again in danger and what he agrees to is something only someone with the deepest love would even consider.
Frankenstein. The Phantom of the Opera. Edgar Allan Poe. Dracula. These books have haunted me for years. Such beauty, such insanely sad and gorgeous detail. Frankenstein is not what you think it is. The Phantom of the Opera is also like this, but that is for another time. I have a point. These classic Gothic stories stole my heart and ever since, I have wanted nothing more than to write stories just as sweeping in detail. Just as heartbreaking. Just as beautiful as these classics. That was my goal with “To You.” When asked to contribute to a romance anthology, I responded with To You, a Gothic romance told in the second person point of view.
I don’t believe in happy endings without paying a very costly price. Happily ever after is earned in my stories if it happens at all, and the price for that “happy ending” is high. my editor will be releasing a romance anthology where you can read Part #1 of The Letters.
